Ingredients:
- Big Tomatoes – 4
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Green Chilli – 1, slit
- Mustards seeds – 1 tsp
- Oil – I tbsp
- Salt, Hing – to taste
- Water as reqd
Preparation method:
Wash and chop the tomatoes finely.
In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, hing, tomatoes, green chilli, chilli powder & salt.
Pour little water (already tomatoes will leave some water) and cook on a medium flame till desired consistency comes.
Serve with Hot Idly/Dosa.
Variations:
Soak dry red chillies in warm for 10-15 minutes. Fry the tomatoes, red chillies and grind it in the mixer.
Add salt. Do temper with mustard seeds, urad dal & curry leaves.
Ready to serve.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with hot idly’s/ Dosa.
