Pesara Pappu Poori / Moong dal Poori




Ingredients

  • Pesara Pappu / Moong Dal – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tsps
  • Oil for Frying
  • Salt to taste
Preparation Method
  1. Soak the moong for about 2 hours.
  2. In the meantime, knead the wheat into dough with red chilli powder, salt and water.
  3. Now add the soaked moong dal to the wheat flour dough and knead again for some time.
  4. Make round shaped balls with the dough.
  5. Spread the balls into roti’s and keep ready.
  6. Heat the tawa and place the roti made.
  7. Pour oil generously around the roti. It will puff up like poori.
  8. Reverse and cook till brown spots appear.
  9. Serve hot with/without chutney.
