Paneer and Sweet Corn Curry




Ingredients

  • Paneer/ Cottage cheese – 1 cup
  • Sweet corn kernels (tender) – 1 cup
  • Onion – 1, big size
  • Tomatoes – 1, big size
  • Green chillies – 2, slit lengthwise
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Jeelakara powder / Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsps
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method

  1. Cut the paneer into ½ inch pieces and keep aside.
  2. Finely chop the onion and tomatoes.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions.
  4. Add the corn kernels and cook for about 3 minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes and green chillies, fry for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Once the raw smell goes off, add cumin powder, chilli powder and salt.
  7. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  8. Add the paneer and cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with Roti/Naan/Rice.

Variations

  1. You can add different colors of chopped capsicums (Bell pepper). Reduce the chilli powder quantity to half.
  2. Water Can be added if you want semi gravy consistency.
