Pallilu Perugu Pachadi/ Peanut Curd Raita




Ingredients

  • Perugu/Curd                – 1cup
  • Peanuts/Pallilu             – ¼ cup, crushed
  • Green chillies              -2, finely chopped
  • Red chilli powder       – ½ tsp
  • Jeera/Cumin powder   – ½ tsp, optional
  • Coriander leaves         – 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Curry Leaves               – 1-2 sprigs
  • Sugar                           – ½ tsp
  • Mustard Seeds                        – 1 tsp
  • Oil                               – 1tsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method

If the curd is not thick, hang it in a muslin cloth for 10-15 minutes with a bowl below.

Whisk the curd to make it smooth and add sugar & salt to the curd.

Pallilu/Peanuts can be powdered or coarsely grind it according to your desire. Both will be good in taste.

Now mix curd, chillies, peanut and coriander leaves.

Heat a tsp of oil and temper with the mustard seeds & curry leaves.

Add the tempering with the curd and refrigerate.

Serve with any hot vada.

Variations

Only green chillies or red chili powder can be used.
