Palak Pakodi / Palak Pakoda




Ingredients
  • Onion – 2 cups, finely sliced
  • Palak /Spinach – 2 cups, finely chopped
  • Senaga Pindi/ Besan – 2 cups
  • Rice flour – 2 tsbps
  • Green chillies – 4, finely chopped
  • Corinader leaves – ½ cup, finely chopped
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tsps
  • Dhaniya powder – 2 tsps (Or Dhaniya Crushed), optional
  • Vansapathi/Ghee – ½ cup
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
Preparation Method
  1. Mix onion, salt and ghee or vanspathi. Keep for some time.
  2. Add the besan little by little without adding any water. The water from the onion mixture is enough for this.
  3. Add the chopped palak, green chillies, red chilli powder, dhaniya powder and coriander leaves.
  4. If want little water can be sprinkled.
  5. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan.
  6. Take handful of pakodi mixture and sprinkle little by little in hot oil.
  7. Fry until golden brown and remove, drain the excess oil in the absorbent paper.
  8. Cool and store it in an air tight container.
  9. This is healthy snacks which will stay good for 3 days.
