Mixed Pappu Guggillu




Ingredients

  • Senaga pappu / Bengal Gram – 2 tbsps
  • Ulavalu / Horse Gram – 2 tbsps
  • Verusenaga pappu / Peanuts – 2 tbsps
  • Nuvvulu / Sesame Seeds – 4 tsps
  • Dry red chillies – 4, broken into two
  • Dry Coconut – 1 tbsp , grated
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
  • Oil – 1tsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method

Take senaga pappu, ulavalu and peanuts in a vessel and cook for 1 or 2 whistles by adding water & salt.

Drain excess water & keep aside.

Dry roast sesame seeds and dry red chillies & powder it.

Heat oil a pan, add mustard seeds, wait until it splutters & add curry leaves.

Now add dry coconut gratings, the ground powder and the cooked dals.

Mix well and Serve.

Variations

The Ulavalu can be sprouted and used in the recipe.
