Ingredients
- Lentil Stock (Tur dal) – 3 cups
- Green chillies – 2
- Ginger – 1” piece
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsps
- Pasuppu/ Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
- Coriander leaves – 1 sprig
- Ghee – 2tsp
- Salt to taste
Preparation Method
Cook a ½ cup of tur dal in 3 cups of water.
Strain and take the dal stock. The dal can be used for making sambar, rasam, pappu etc.
Finely chop the green chillies and ginger.
Take ghee in a pan and het it.
Add the mustard seeds, ginger & green chillies.
After a minute add the dal stock, turmeric powder and Salt.
Simmer the flame & boil for 10 minutes.
The filter the soup and add finely chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves, pepper powder and add the remaining ghee.
Remove from the stove and add lemon juice.
Garnish with Corainder leaves and Serve hot.
