Koftas in Cashew Gravy
Ingredients
For the kofta’s:
- Potatoes – 3 , boiled
- Green peas – 1/4 cup, boiled & ground
- Green chillies – 6, chopped
- Ginger – 1″ inch, chopped
- Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
- Oil as required
- Salt to taste
For the curry paste:
- Cashew paste – 2 tbsps
- Khoya – 2 tsp
- Kasoori Methi – 1tsp
- Tomato puree- 1 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon – 1″ inch piece
- Cardamom – 1 no.
- Clove – 1 no.
- Butter – 1 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
- Salt to taste
Preparation Method
- To make the koftas, grate the potatoes and add peas, sesame seeds and green chillies.
- Make small balls and fry till golden brown. Keep aside to cool.
- To make the curry, in a kadai, pour oil and ad the clove, cinnamon, cardamom and heat it for a minute.
- Then add cashew pase and khoya and stir for a minute with butter.
- Add tomato puree and keep stirring for 5 minutes.
- Add garam masala and the cashew curry is ready.
- Put the kofta balls into the gravy and let the koftas absosrb the gravy.
- Garish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with kulchas or pulao.
